• 10th anniversary of the Nelson Mandela Rules and efforts for prison reform

Member States are urged to resolve the UN's ongoing liquidity crisis, as late payments "could spark a crisis of confidence." President Kailembo stressed, "We must fund our organization to deal with our problems."

A commemorative meeting will mark the 80th anniversary of the UN Charter on 26 June.

"We must rediscover the 'spirit of San Francisco' that guided our founders," Kailembo said.
